Amber Hartin - Theme 4 - Cosmos

I will write something later.

Alright folks. So I did these using some Polaroids. I pretty much just took a photograph of whatever and manipulated them in various ways. Mostly I started to burn them before the picture was given time to expose except on a couple. I also cracked a couple of them open because the burning makes the plastic bubble up. Basically I fooled around in photoshop with the scanned polaroids and came out with these nifty little results. I also had previously taken a picture of the sky at night which I overlayed on top of the first one (on the left). I will probably fool around with the third one a bit to make it more cohesive with the other two (and perhaps a couple others I've been working on). I tried just the two to the left on their own and didn't like it as much.
I don't think I really need to explain how they're related to cosmos, since they look like...the cosmos.

I edited the last image a bit and think it works better with the others now.
There's the diptych of just the left two. I'm pretty set on the 3 but what do you guys think?

Lucy Lu - Theme 2 again: family

SO. Changed my family concept completely since I never got around to reshooting my previous idea and my interests moved on. I spent a lot of my time alone at home during my later high school years, and still home seems like a very quiet place. And I feel as if the things we've stuffed onto this mantel feels at times more present than my family. They are also a good representation of our history and values.

Original family post. Comments are welcome.

This is what happens when you let the universe shoot a roll of film for you.
Cosmic shit.

Cosmos - Matt Waples

EDIT: I added my 9 "cuts", as well as some other scans.
Final Set

This is a set of 9 selects from a series of 20 destroyed Fuji Instax film. Each image was put through its own "destruction" using anything around me when I took the photo.  (e.g. stomped, burned, wrinkled, punched, bent, chilled, etc)

Cut Images

Closer Scans

Not 100% sure what this has to do with Cosmos though...

Alex G Cosmos Theme #4

Hey again.  So these are the other four photos that I really, really liked.   Feedback on which ones you guys prefer would be appreciated as I truly am stuck.  (And I promise the two full-on, frontal-face ones are slightly different!)  Thanks guys! :)
