Shot on my Mamiya RB67.

i really like this photo! although the top of your head is cut off with the crop, i still think its a really stong photo.. the combo of your expression/postion, as well as the background, really puts an intriguing mood to the image!

  2. Agreed. I honestly wouldn't change a thing. If I wanted to get reeeeally picky I might dodge your shirt / hands by a tiny bit just to bring it down from the background and a bit more in line with the tone of your face, but having said that I think you've totally nailed it with this shot.

  3. Meabh- I shot two rolls of film for this shot, experimenting with different crops and poses. I had some without the top of my head cropped, but in the end I actually thought the crop made it a stronger image and more intimate somehow.

Tyler- thanks! I will experiment with that!

  5. Alex, i think this is a really strong photo. your face expression & position is intriguing. the lighting & the background make it that much better. i agree dodging a bit to get more details in the hands & wrinkles in the sleeves. great job, love this photo!
